            WEEKEND REFLECTION 

INTRODUCTION

Induction training is a support process for beginning teachers to teach them basic knowledge, skills, and values related with teaching and make them socialize with their profession. As part of the B.ed curriculum we have to take teaching practice . So for it I got the permission for GOV .HSS .Anchal west school. Teaching traing make us professional ones and give a rich of experiences .

ABOUT THE SCHOOL🏫

GOVERNMENT HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL ANCHAL WEST was established in 1932 and it is managed by the Department of Education. It is located in Rural area. It is located in ANCHAL block of KOLLAM district of Kerala. The school consists of Grades from 5 to 12. The school is Co-educational and it doesn't have an attached pre-primary section. The school is Not Applicable in nature and is not using school building as a shift-school. Malayalam is the medium of instructions in this school. This school is approachable by all weather road. In this school academic session starts in April.
         The school has Government building. It has got 31 classrooms for instructional purposes. All the classrooms are in good condition. It has 2 other rooms for non-teaching activities. The school has a separate room for Head master/Teacher. The school has Partial boundary wall. The school has have electric connection. The source of Drinking Water in the school is Well and it is functional. The school has 13 boys toilet and it is functional. and 15 girls toilet and it is functional. The school has no playground. The school has a library and has 810 books in its library. The school does not need ramp for disabled children to access classrooms. The school has 51 computers for teaching and learning purposes and all are functional. The school is having a computer aided learning lab. The school is Provided and Prepared in School Premises providing mid-day meal.

 

PRE- PLANNING 

For the teaching practice we were planned a lot . First we have a critisism class section in our college . Which is critisised  by our peers and teachers . It helps us to make improvements . Then we selected a school and approached the school for getting permission . Fortunately Me and my friend sreelakshmi git permission from the GOVT.HSS Anchal west school authority. Teachers gave us the portions to teach .I was assigned to take Business studies in plus one class .After getting the permission lesson plans were prepared and checked out by our principal Shyma Miss . Then Activity card ,charts ,vedios,work sheets were prepared .

USUAL EVENTS IN SCHOOL🏫

     Due to this covid pandemic the school is shifted it's time shedule from 9:am to 1: pm. Each period has one hour duration . Total 4 hour is there. Then ,the classes are shifted into two batches . That is Malayalam batch and Hindi batch.Fisrt 3 days Malayalam batch has  Classes .then next 3 days Hindi batch has the classes.

  

FIRST DAY IN SCHOOL 

 On 3 Rd January 2022 I reached Govt HSS Anchal west school at 9.30 with the letter from our campus. I was submitted the letter and register to the Principal and he gave us the guidelines to follow . Then arranged sitting place in staffroom.it is a new experience for us . So it made us nervous and uncomfortable.

       So in first day ,second period we were going to class and saw the fresh faces . Then introduce ourselves and interact with them ... Students are good and cooperate with us ...here we starts our new journey of teaching. ...🧑‍🏫

 

DAILY EXPERIENCES 

 

 On 4 th January I didn't get any period . So at that date I did my course works and interact with the staffs .  Next day I got  a calss and I taught the students about the concept sole proprietorship. I use chart paper , activity cards and worksheet to make the students so interactive ..then Thursday next batch is came and I gave introduction to them and take the class as an ice breaking section .next Friday I didn't have any period for the second batch.

STUDENT POLICE CADET

The Student Police Cadet (SPC) Project is a school-based initiative by Kerala police implemented jointly by the Departments of Home and Education, and supported by Departments of Transport, Forest, Excise and Local Self-Government. The project trains high school students to respect the laws, practice discipline, and to develop civic consciousness and empathy for vulnerable sections of society. It also strengthens commitment towards the family, community, and the environment, enabling them to resist negative tendencies such as substance abuse, deviant behavior, intolerance, and other social evils.

NEW YEAR CELEBRATION 

 

On 5 th January 2022 plus two batch of our school conducted a new year celebration. 

There was two celebrations .one is conducted by plus two science batch and one is conducted by plus two commerce batch.🤝

        

 They invited all teachers and staffs to the cake cutting party 🍰. They were also inviting me and my friend sreelakshmi to the function. we were happy to join the party .🙂🙂

          

 

First week of our teaching practice gave me a new experience in teaching field. Since my childhood I would like to become a teacher. Eventhough it's a teaching practice but I enjoyed it a lot. And pray to be a good teacher who can influence the students .🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
